Your data, explained plainly.

Creating an account requires either:

• An email address and a password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), or
• Google Sign-In, which shares your name, email address, and Google account identifier with us.

This is used to identify your account, let your data sync across your devices, and send you account emails (welcome, password reset). You can optionally add a display name and a phone number.

Tasks, reminders, goals, and your profile live on your phone. When you are signed in, a backup of that data is synced to our servers so you can restore it on a new device. Goal Chat and Daily Review conversations, and Focus Mode session history, are also stored so the features work across sessions. This data is yours. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Notifications captured by the optional Notification Listener stay on your device. They are never included in the account backup.

Several features work by sending relevant text to a third-party AI provider for processing: Goal Chat, Daily Review, goal breakdown suggestions, day planning and scheduling suggestions, and, for Focus Mode, the text of an incoming notification, to help decide whether it needs your attention. This text is sent only when you use a feature that needs it. Depending on availability, it is processed by Google Gemini or NVIDIA (NIM). We don't control these providers' own data retention beyond what is stated in their terms.

The optional Raven Premium subscription is sold and billed by Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Google, not your card details.

We do not see or store your M-PESA PIN or full payment credentials, only the phone number, amount, and transaction status needed to confirm the payment went through.

Every permission below is optional and requested only when the related feature needs it.

We send account emails (welcome, password reset), and we may send announcements about the app. Signed-in devices register a push notification token with our servers so we can send push notifications. To remind people who haven't opened the app for a few days, we record the last time your account was active and may send a gentle reminder by email or push notification. To stop these, email us at the address below or delete your account.

If you join the waitlist on this website, we store the email address (and name, if you give one) you enter, and send you a confirmation email. We use it only to tell you about the app's launch.

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, in the app (Account → Delete my account) or by following the steps on the delete account page. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect to what the features need.

Raven Assistant is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
